At full council the delegation of the tender of street cleaning and litter bin emptying was approved despite admissions that the council did not know where all their bins are and did not have a complete list of streets which should be cleaned and had not done the promised survey!
Conservative proposals to take this to scrutiny (as was originally promised) in order to ensure the procurement process was done properly and the scope was understood were rejected by Liberals and Labour.
Sometimes I despair at their attitude, anyone who has ever tendered anything knows it is folly to tender without knowing what you are tendering. Likely to end up with poor value and poor service for the taxpayer.
